About Us

Kayla began her employment with Levine & Levine in April 2023, after graduating from Western Michigan University and completing Boston University’s Paralegal Program.

She lived in Schoolcraft, Michigan before moving to Kalamazoo to attend WMU. She currently resides in Kalamazoo with her cat Whiskers.

Kayla spends most of her free time with friends, singing karaoke, attending church, and shopping. She also enjoys sunny days on the lake with her family.

Bethany brings over nine years of experience working alongside attorneys in the legal field, with a focus on criminal defense for the last 5 years. Working in criminal defense has given her a deep appreciation for the importance of diligence, accuracy, and empathy.

As a legal assistant at Markou Montague Levine Defense, Bethany plays a key role in communicating with clients and supporting attorneys behind the scenes. She brings a strong foundation in case management, organization, attention to detail, and helps ensure that each case is handled skillfully and thoroughly.

Bethany understands that clients are often facing some of the most challenging moments of their lives, and that the legal process can often feel very overwhelming. She strives to provide calm, steady, and respectful support to our clients while helping the legal team operate as efficiently as possible.

Peggy has been Randall Levine’s Legal Assistant since 1982. She has over 40 years of experience in civil and criminal litigation at both the state and federal levels.

Peggy was honored in 2019 by Lawyers Weekly as an “Unsung Hero” for her dedication and professionalism in the law.

Peggy was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and has lived in the area her entire life. She has been married to her husband for over 40 years and they have two grown children. Peggy loves animals, working in the yard, cooking out and spending time with family and friends.

Madalyn began working with Levine & Levine in August 2025 as an intern. Since graduating from Western Michigan University in December of 2025, she has been a full-time assistant at Markou Montague Levine Defense. Madelyn will be attending Michigan State University’s law school in the fall. When she is not in the office, she enjoys baking, reading, and puzzles.

Amy serves as the Office Manager at Markou Montague Levine Defense, bringing over 25 years of experience in human resources, payroll, and office operations. She is dedicated to keeping the office running smoothly while supporting the team and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.

Outside of the office, Amy is a proud mother of three and has been married for close to 30 years. She values spending time with her family—including their two dogs and a cat—and enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, and supporting adoption initiatives.

Moe will be missed by everyone at Levine and Levine and ALL of their clients. He never missed an important meeting. If he knew you had an appointment he’d make sure to greet you at the elevator. He was truly a COMFORT to all who he came in contact with. May his memory be a BLESSING!

Apollo is a new member of the firm having recently been acquired following the death of Moe. He will do his best to follow in Moe’s paw prints. He understands his role and is anxious to show everyone what he can do.
